Tividale Community Fun Day 07

The Tividale Community Fun Day has become a very popular community event, something of a highlight in our calendars. It was really tremendous to see well over 300 people come and take part.

The whole event was opened up by a local dance school that wowed us with a very dramatic start to the day. A community resources exhibition inside the Church provided useful advice and information on housing, debt, education and safety. Councillor Hinton was also available to meet with locals and discuss any issues or concerns they had. The Police were here in force too with a patrol car, which the children especially liked. They relished having a go with the sirens and lights etc.

On the car park there were lots of simple family fun activities as well as live puppet shows by our “No Strings” puppet theatre, and live music from the Churches worship band and youth band, ‘The Nazarenes’.

It was a lovely day for the community to get together, have fun, enjoy refreshments and obtain important information about the work of the church and a variety of organisations working in the area.

Why not check out some photo’s of the day.

The Church is God’s idea! What then should the Church be like? How should we connect with one another and how should we function? Each Sunday morning we will be looking carefully at “God’s good church guide”.

Sunday Evenings from 19th August: ‘Genesis’.

In this exciting and highly relevant new series we will be looking at how the Bible answers some of the great questions of life. Who am I? What is life all about? Who is God? What is he like? Why are things so bad at times? How do I know and enjoy God?
