The book of Isaiah is one of the greatest pieces of ancient literature in existence. It is more than just a piece of writing however, it is God’s word for us today.
As we study Isaiah we will be warmed, challenged and maybe even excited to find that God is indeed our salvation.

The Tividale Community Fun Day has become a very popular community event, something of a highlight in our calendars. It was really tremendous to see well over 300 people come and take part.
The whole event was opened up by a local dance school that wowed us with a very dramatic start to the day. A community resources exhibition inside the Church provided useful advice and information on housing, debt, education and safety. Councillor Hinton was also available to meet with locals and discuss any issues or concerns they had. The Police were here in force too with a patrol car, which the children especially liked. They relished having a go with the sirens and lights etc.
On the car park there were lots of simple family fun activities as well as live puppet shows by our “No Strings” puppet theatre, and live music from the Churches worship band and youth band, ‘The Nazarenes’.
It was a lovely day for the community to get together, have fun, enjoy refreshments and obtain important information about the work of the church and a variety of organisations working in the area.
Why not check out some photo’s of the day.

Yes! Rob Bell, author of Velvet Elvis and Sex God, creator of the Nooma series and founder of Mars Hill Church, is going to be at the Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton on the 28th of June! It’s part of his ‘Calling All Peacemakers’ tour. Here’s what the website says:
From petty conflicts among friends to nations sending soldiers to the other side of the world, we live in a world in which bombs come in all shapes and sizes.
What we need to learn is the fine art of nonviolence, we need a path that isn’t violent and isn’t passive, one that subverts the aggressor and empowers the oppressed, that guides us into a better tomorrow.
What we need now more than ever is the teachings of Jesus, who pioneered a brilliant way of loving nonviolence that truly would make the world a better place, if we have the guts to listen…
